A few weeks ago, Concept2 advanced me from its 85-89 age group to its 90-94 age group.
That gave me the opportunity to set the following World and American records for the 90-94 age group. What is amazing to me is that I have been able to continue rowing at almost the same record times I set at age 76, when I first started rowing.
Here are my latest Concept2 rowing records. I specialize in 100m, 1-min, and 500m events. My record rows are about 20 percent faster than the second-place world records.
I’m a lightweight (<165#) and I am now rowing faster than the heavyweights.
Concept2 rowing is an excellent exercise for us old guys. We can’t fall off a rowing machine and break a leg. We can choose the distances we like. We can participate in rowing events worldwide from our own home. Rowing is a good sport when you cannot be outdoors every day.

Congrats Edwin.
Where was it held, here in Alberta is everything still frozen.
Hi Cees,
Thank you.
Concept2 PM5 monitor records all your rows on a memory disc that plugs into the PM5. Then you take it out, plug it into your computer, and log in to your Concept2 records. Then you can upload your rowing data.

So, there is no water involved. Still impressed with your World Record.
Must be just as hard as the real thing.
Cees.
