  1. As this is an open letter, I take it is addressed to me. I therefore have the following question. I question your critical faculty and that of every signatory to that letter.

    “Thousands of lives are in jeopardy. Initiation of large-scale domestic production of the full spectrum of medical and industrial isotopes is overdue and can be done without using highly enriched uranium.”

    Might I also point out that this “overdue” production is also possible without…nuclear power plants.

    Concede that, and no doubt we can proceed to the many groundless assertions and flawed arguments in your letter.
