Chris Matthews (see below) said to Stewart Rhodes, founder and supreme leader of Oath Keepers,
“I think you are trying to create a mindset in right-wing thinking to achieve your own immediate goal.”
What Chris did not realize is Rhodes’ immediate goal is to make sure we do not elect Republicans.

Here’s Stewart Rhodes at the Paul Fest in Tampa, Florida, on August 25, 2012, calling Mitt Romney “an oath breaker”:
Stewart Rhodes, a lawyer, operates by emotions rather than by logic. He criticizes Mitt Romney but he forgets to compare Obama who brings all the bad things Oath Keepers preach against. Rhodes gets his logic entirely mixed up because he does not understand the wisdom of voting for the “lesser of two evils” from his perspective. Personally, I do not consider Romney evil at all.
Rhodes fundamental contradiction is he tells people to vote in a way that will produce the exact opposite of their goals. This is insanity and he does not understand how he fails in his logic.
Of course, everyone in marketing knows emotions sell better than logic. So from the business perspective of collecting Oath Keeper dues, Rhodes is doing the right thing. But here we are talking about doing the right thing for Montana and America, not for Stewart Rhodes.
The Oath Keepers stated goal of oath keeping is good. But using the Oath Keepers as a front to promote the Democrat socialist-communist agenda is very bad. Oath Keepers members are paying Stewart Rhodes to promote gun control and other liberal goals.
Rhodes trashed Denny Rehberg for US Senate in 2012, even though wiser patriots including Rand Paul, Ron Paul, Sheriff Richard Mack, Ken Miller, and Gun Owners of America endorsed Denny Rehberg. Rhodes, a former Ron Paul staffer is an irrational law unto himself.
Stewart Rhodes: Oath Keepers and Oath Breakers

Stewart Rhodes is founder and leader of Oath Keepers Corporation. With about 40,000 members, Oath Keepers Corporation has the potential to raise an army larger than some small nations.
Rhodes says he will call out elected officials who are “oath breakers”. He says it is our duty to root out all oath breakers by voting against them. He says if we vote for an oath breaker, we are breaking our own oath and oath breaking is a “sin” and treason.
Rhodes asks, “What if we have only a choice of 2 oath breakers?” He says we cannot vote for either one of them. He says voting for the “lesser of two evils” is exactly why we are where we are now. He says “fear” is why people vote for the “lesser of two evils” over and over again.
