Answer: Opponents of the Compact reject facts that conflict with their preconceived opinions.

When I suggest that lack of facts is their problem, they call me “preachy” or “arrogant” because they don’t want to know the truth and think anyone who tells them the truth is their enemy.
This cartoonist hit the nail on the head. We don’t have an issue problem. We have a “people” problem.
