Obama admits America’s debt is due to Bad Leadership

Senator Barack Obama said the following in March 2006:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ‘s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.

It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.

Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, “the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

America like most Europeans Countries, all have the same problem, to many government employees. Take the U.S., our workforce totals 140 million people, 77 million work for government( fed., state, counties, cities, military, and all schools districts) plus another 30 or more million retired government employees, This leaves only 63 million people paying all the taxes working in the private sector. On average government employees make double of the wages of those working in private sector, when you add in their salaries , early retirement, free health care, 13 paid holidays , sick leave, It would be nice if we could all work for government , but that would be pure communism.
