Montanan’s will nominate their Republican candidate for US Congress on Tuesday, June 3.
Tea Party people would like to nominate a candidate more conservative than Ryan Zinke. They have only two choices: Corey Stapleton or Matt Rosendale.
Yet, tea party folks still argue that Matt Rosendale is more conservative than Corey Stapleton. They don’t get it!
Let’s focus. The question on the table is:
Who will get the most votes, Corey or Matt?
Assuming we would like to nominate someone other than Ryan Zinke, then we should vote for the candidate most likely to beat Ryan.
I claim the race is between Corey Stapleton and Ryan Zinke, and Matt Rosendale is trailing too far behind to win.
If I am correct then you should vote for Corey. If you believe I am wrong then you should vote for Matt.
The problem is not about who is “more conservative” between Corey or Matt. They have similar TAB scores. The problem is how to nominate someone other than Ryan Zinke.
To help Matt supporters focus on the real problem, I have made the following offer:
I will take friendly bets in $100 increments up to $1000 total, using even odds, that Corey Stapleton beats Matt Rosendale in the primary election.
So far there are no takers which suggests Matt supporters do not have confidence in their claim that Matt will win.
