Read full story on Elon Musk’s Mars Interplanetary Transport ship here: SpaceX’s Elon Musk Unveils Interplanetary Spaceship to Colonize Mars
This video illustrates how billionaire Elon Musk, founder and CEO of the private spaceflight company SpaceX, would like to send humans to Mars.
The computer-animated video paints a vivid and seemingly realistic picture of humans journeying to the Red Planet. It lists specific technologies that could be used, including a launch from Earth and on-orbit spaceship refueling, and a booster-powered descent onto the Red Planet.
Musk spoke at the International Astronautical Congress meeting in Guadalajara, Mexico. [Slideshow: SpaceX’s Interplanetary Transport System for Mars in Images]
The end of the movie shows the terraformed Martian surface, which Musk has said he would like to see happen (perhaps with the aid of nuclear bombs).
I like the Russian people. A Russian scientific article was one basis of my PhD thesis. Russian scientist authors Voloschuk and Sedunov wrote about my PhD thesis in their 1975 textbook “Coagulation Processes in Atmospheric Systems.”
I have exchanged gifts with Russian scientists at professional meetings. I have utmost respect for the Russian people. I am convinced we need Donald Trump as our president so America can work more cooperatively with Russia. – Ed
Trump Opposes President Obama’s Plan to Surrender American Internet Control to Foreign Powers
“Donald J. Trump is committed to preserving Internet freedom for the American people and citizens all over the world. The U.S. should not turn control of the Internet over to the United Nations and the international community.
President Obama intends to do so on his own authority – just 10 days from now, on October 1, unless Congress acts quickly to stop him.
The Republicans in Congress are admirably leading a fight to save the Internet this week, and need all the help the American people can give them to be successful.
Hillary Clinton’s Democrats are refusing to protect the American people by not protecting the Internet.
The U.S. created, developed and expanded the Internet across the globe. U.S. oversight has kept the Internet free and open without government censorship – a fundamental American value rooted in our Constitution’s Free Speech clause.
Internet freedom is now at risk with the President’s intent to cede control to international interests, including countries like China and Russia, which have a long track record of trying to impose online censorship.
Congress needs to act, or Internet freedom will be lost for good, since there will be no way to make it great again once it is lost.”
– Stephen Miller, National Policy Director
On May 6, 2016, I picked this song from Les Miserables to convey why the people want Donald Trump to be their president. – Ed
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the songs of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes

Trump’s plan is the most pro-growth, pro-jobs, pro-family plan put forth in American history.
Our lives hinge on our economy. Our personal freedom, our health, our bank account, our environment, our education, our enjoyment of life, and our national defense all hinge upon our economy.
America’s power flows directly from its economic strength. America’s ability to influence other nations depends upon the competitive advantage of its industries.
America must become energy independent because abundant, low-cost energy is necessary for a strong economy.
Trump’s economic plan will:
- Deliver 3.5 percent growth per year for the next decade
- Produce 25 million new jobs in the next decade.
- Regain America’s place as a heavy manufacturing leader.
- Open up more public and private lands for oil and gas drilling.
- Lift restrictions on all sources of American energy production.
- Eliminate all needless and job-killing regulations.
- Increase energy production.
- Reduce trade deficits.
- Renegotiate and enforce trade deals to favor American workers.
- Cut $1 trillion from the federal budget in ten years without touching Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or defense.
- Shrink non-defense spending.
- Reduce the budgets of government agencies including the Education Department, Transportation Department and Interior Department by 1% each year.
Trump’s tax plan will:
- Allow US-based manufacturers to fully write off the costs of new plants and equipment.
- Reduce taxes on all business income, including both traditional corporations and pass-through entities, to 15 percent.
- Reduce the number of federal tax brackets from seven to three, with rates of 12 percent, 25 percent and 33 percent.
- Limit deductions to $100,000 for a single filer and $200,000 for a married couple.
- Set the standard deduction at $15,000 for individuals and $30,000 for married couples.

In a very telling moment, Hillary Clinton maligned me and millions of other Americans as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophobic ‘deplorables.’
I’m so tired of this line of attack that normally taunts conservatives. Well, let me be very specific in my response.
I believe in expanding opportunity, not welfare; that’s not racist.
I believe every life is worth protecting, particularly the unborn; that doesn’t make me sexist.
I believe marriage is between one man and one woman; that’s not homophobic.
I believe in borders, the rule of law and our sovereign right to decide who to let into our country; that’s not xenophobic.
I believe radical Islam is a mortal threat to America and Western civilization; that is common sense, not Islamophobia.”

Republican Bob Brown, of Whitefish, is a former Montana secretary of state and state senate president. Today, in media across Montana, Bob Brown announced he will vote for Hillary Clinton rather than for Donald Trump.
Below, I republish Brown’s public letter along with my comments on his statements. My comments are in (blue).
[Begin Brown’s letter]
I am saddened to write this opinion piece, but after much thought, I must. In my long life I have never voted for a Democrat for president. That will change this year.
(After all this time, Bob Brown admits he is really a Democrat.) [Read more…]

I see that Eric has offered up his power point presentation that he probably impressed the crowd with at the AAUW in Grand Rapids.
Power Point Slides for AAUW, Grand Rapids, 2016 » slide16
The AAUW stands for: AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN.
“Mission: AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
Vision: AAUW will be a powerful advocate and visible leader in equity and education through research, philanthropy, and measurable change in critical areas impacting the lives of women and girls.”
This applies to your dire warnings regarding melting glaciers that I well imagine you were trying to frighten these girls with. Keep in mind that Geo. Vancouver’s ships were wind powered; therefore, he wasn’t spewing out any diesel smoke to start this massive retreat of these glaciers.
“The explorer Captain George Vancouver found Icy Strait, at the south end of Glacier Bay, choked with ice in 1794. Glacier Bay itself was almost entirely iced over. In 1879 naturalist John Muir found that the ice had retreated almost all the way up the bay. By 1916 the Grand Pacific Glacier was at the head of Tarr Inlet about 65 miles from Glacier Bay’s mouth. This is the fastest documented glacier retreat ever. Scientists are hoping to learn how glacial activity relates to climate changes and global warming from these retreating giants. [Read more…]
